Casey Sabin & Selena Adams vs Noel Park and Oliva Bodom Another unmasking happened, and it turned out to be Noel Park behind the blue mask, and further showing that this group has incredible reach. 2020.09.27 18:06 CyrusWaughAll Taylor Swift Albums Ranked (2006-2020)
And now we've reached the beginning of the end of CountryMusicStuff's first appreciation week, I loved every bit of this process, even when I was stressed out with deadlines, I kept pushing forward for you guys as a community, this has been the most fun I've had with the sub in a long time and I can't wait to explore other big and underappreciated artists. After 8 albums its time to answer the big one, which album stands tall above the rest, I'd love to know your opinion, even though I'm not touching Taylor Swift for a long time after this, I'll give a little shoutout here and there when I see it fitting. A lot of people this week have come together to appreciate all the music she's put out, and I don't want it to fade away. I'm gonna announce the placements Drum Corps style because this has built up a lot of momentum over the past week, also this was not easy, a lot of these albums were highly competitive, some rose in placement, some did not, a majority of the scores were really tight, and I'm being as critical as can be, because the fanboy in me would put all these albums around 8 or 9 out of 10. In 8th Place With A Score Of 6.9/10: 8. Lover (2019) Lover is last for me, as I feel like it has a lot to offer, but it fails to be cohesive, the sound ranges from candy sounding pop, to 80's synth style, to the style of Reputation and country, it's a mess in terms of lyrics and production. There a few instances where we get the peak of Taylor's vocal performance and writing skills, but mostly it feels contrived and lazy. Also this isn't last for my disdain of the trash that is the man, the album score is the average of my song ratings, so The Man only counts for 5.5% of the score. 1 song doesn't determine where I place a record. I've seen records where I give one song a 1/10 and the rest are 8,9 or 10 out of 10, and I give it a high score. The writing and sound for a lot of the record, is kind of dated, to be honest, songs like ME! or You Need To Calm Down's sound was already done 2016 and 2017, and in 2019, the sound of music changed drastically, either trap songs by DaBaby, or mellow pop songs by Billie Eilish and Post Malone trended, I'm not saying it failed as it has sold 4 million worldwide which in the streaming era is huge, and it still landed to be the most popular album of 2019, but chart wise this album didn't land, for an artist a few years back was a head of the times it feels on this record she's playing catch up. In terms of the tracks themselves, this is the only record where I actually hate some of the tracks, them being The Man, I Think He Knows, and I Forgot That You Existed, one being dishonest lyricism and the other 2 being lazily produced and sung, normally I can pick up on something I like but not on Knows or Existed, out of context The Man is fun, but using my brain I can tell its the worst of the 3. Then we get into the decent section which is, Miss Americana, False God, You Need To Calm Down, and Death By A Thousand Cuts, these tracks are give or take, you may like the lyrics which are clever or honest, while you get bad production, like on Death By A Thousand Cuts, which is pretty descriptive but it suffers from a lot of the production concerning her vocals or in You Need To Calm Down where it is a jam, but the lyrics are lazy, and pandering, and how she keep's singing to haters and critics, why? There was a whole record dedicated to this, why do you keep bringing it up. And if you are going to, be clever about it, like Blank Space or Delicate. Then there's the good tracks that have a decent balance of both, like ME!, or Paper Rings, these tracks are often silly in their lyricism, which is okay, I'm cool with dumb silly songs, and the production really reflects the seriousness these songs lack, there are some tracks where the lyrics are so dumb and the instrumentation is advanced and beautiful, they don't fit together usually, so these tracks offer the middle lane. The great tracks are the ones where we get to see inside her head, her personal stories, such as The Archer, which actually does a good job in describing the battle of her reputation, not addressing the haters but her own personal perspective, her relationship with Alwyn is on full display with Lover, which is one of the biggest standouts of the record, where get arguably the best bridge of her career, Luke Combs does pretty good ones, but Taylor is on a whole other level, even on tracks that aren't as great, she puts a lot of effort into bridges. Her matured view point of relationships in Cornelia Street, how this relationship is getting so good, and how if they fail, she's afraid to walk that street because its a scar. And the crown jewel of the album, Soon You'll Get Better, which is dedicated to her mother diagnosed with a terminal illness, beautifully written, I can hear every emotion going through her head, and it is heartbreaking. The record offers some of her best songs, my favorite melodies and lyrics, Just because it is barely misses a 7/10, doesn't mean don't listen to it, still 80% of this record I still listen to, I judge songs intellectually, so in terms of fun, this is around 7.5 or 8, if you are getting into pop for the first time after listening to country all your life, this is a good way to enter the genre and what to expect. In 7th Place With A Score Of 7.4/10 7. Reputation (2017) Reputation is considered by many to be her worst album, and majority of the people who say that, only listened to the singles, this album's opening is supposed to break your perspective, I think it is also dated, this sound of EDM, Trap was big with people like The Chainsmokers and Imagine Dragons and they were already on the decline, but while it doesn't hold up compared to the other records, there is a lot I like on it, Taylor's songwriting skills are still here, even if vocally and instrumentally it isn't, even on the bombastic EDM I Did Something Bad, there is still quality, and personally I like the production, the overall package isn't as intelligent as I'd like it to be but by the second chorus it brings it. Even on my least favorite track This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, while pretty forgettable melodically, is really raw in the writing, detailing how people have betrayed her over the years, and highlights her feud with Kanye West, also if you're interested in the context for a majority of the songs, I highly recommend the Netflix Documentary, Miss Americana, I skip over the political nonsense, but you get to see her mind set in her modern songs especially in Lover and Reputation. The singles themselves are bombastic like Look What You Made Me Do and ...Ready For It, people's complaints are valid, it really comes down to personal preference, most people when listening to pop, tend to go for their ears rather than their brains, its easier when listening to country music, as the best of it reflect both instrumentation and lyrics, pop is a lot harder as songs for casual listeners are carried by the production, so she has my respect, for putting intellectualism in this style, the only other artist I think that used to be able to do something similar, was 21 Pilots but they've turned into a joke imo. The record really is divided into 2 parts, the dark and heavy sounding side which is all about her reputation and the other is her personal stories, which has a lot lighter production style, with songs like Gorgeous, if I were to put a song from Lover and Gorgeous together, you'd probably think they came from the same album, I tried it once, and that is what got a friend of mine to check out Reputation. Also quick side note, Her concert at Metlife Stadium 2018, is arguably the best concert I've been to, then again I've only been to 4 or 5, which were Toby Keith, Midland, Florida Georgia Line, and I wanna say David Allen Coe, I can't really remember, I was pretty young at the time and it was raining that day in Metlife. The remainder songs actually highlight her new style or throwback to previous styles from older records, my favorite of the new style being So It Goes, its semi-dirty, and I gag to That's My Kind Of Night, but So It Goes is my jam. Don't Blame Me, has a electronic bass drop gospel feel to me, and while not that great lyrically, makes up for how much on an ear worm it is. Getaway Car is a fantastic metaphor, and is a great throwback to 1989, how she talks about a man, being a getaway car, and her guilt of using him like that. Dancing With Our Hands Tied is another great example of her growing skill of unique storytelling in describing relationships. Delicate is my favorite of the entire album, and highlights how she sorta disappeared for a year in the media's eyes, and how all eyes are on her, and you get a sense of freedom when there's no one watching you, the vocals are so soothing, and the drum loop blends in so well, and according to Grady, he calls it his "Chill Jam" I completely agree, then there's the elephant in the room, Look What You Made Me Do at the time really divided the fan base, but overtime this became a beloved piece of pop culture, it is lyrically so interesting, the chorus is a turn off for people, but after listening to this track tens of times, it's become on of my favorite tracks in her entire catalog. Then the closing track New Years Day, without a doubt the best track, highlighting how true love isn't in kissing, their body, or sex, its in their actions, how something as small as cleaning up after a party does so much, Overall yes I enjoy Reputation, I encourage those scared of checking out this record, give it a listen in its entirety, it's better than you think. In 6th Place With A Score Of 7.5/10 6. Taylor Swift (2006) To all the traditionalists before you downvote this because her countriest record is placed 6th, hear me out. Yes sonically her first record is the best. As is the case for a lot of artists in Nashville during the 2000's. But lyrically, this certainly isn't her greatest. Arguably this album is revolutionary for its key role in the start of the bro era, now I'm not comparing her to bro artists, but if you pay close attention, after 2006, you begin to see a rise in her more bro like songs charting slowly. And in this record, you get all the bro tropes, like Trucks, someones eyes, jeans, dirt roads. I certainly think she did a better job at describing adjectives than most artists, I'd put her around the same level of HARDY in that aspect, but simple adjectives are simple adjectives and there's no getting around that. And while there is a lot of traditional country sounds, to help make up for this issue, around 25% of this record leans in the 2000's pop rock trend, and that lowers my opinion of a lot especially with songs like Invisible which sounds awkward vocally for me, or A Perfectly Good Heart, I think the 2 styles in both the lyricism and instrumentation don't blend together great, and similar to how I view songs like Hey Cowgirl by Randall King, the sound might be beautiful but the lyrics are still pretty simple. She was starting to write songs at 16, she hasn't really sharpened her skills yet, this is evident on tracks like I'm Only Me When I'm With You, its sweet and fun but arguably besides the instrumentation and vocals, this is a 7/10 song, and others songs like this include Cold As You, The Outside, Stay Beautiful, all great, but I think we can agree these aren't masterpieces. But while I approach this brutally in some of your eyes, there is still a lot I adore on the record. Our Song is a jam and while simplistic, that's the intention, the melody is as iconic to me as say something like Toes By Zac Brown Band. Picture To Burn is just a blast all the way through, that offer a lot more than a majority of the other tracks on the record, they let the instruments shine more often, you can tell she had a lot more fun with these 2 tracks than the others. The more mature songs signaled that the best of Taylor Swift was yet to come, Teardrops On My Guitar, A Place In This World, are the standouts for me as these are the stories I connected to more, I'm in my final year of high school and I this record feels so nostalgic. Teardrops captures a feeling we've all felt at one point of our lives, it's not that big lyrically, but it has so much emotion, it feels so raw and pure. Then there's Tim McGraw which was the prequel to one of the most iconic tracks of the 2010's Springsteen, who knows, maybe Eric Church was inspired by it to write his own perspective. Tim McGraw is captures every element I love and brings it all together, the great lyrics, the fantastic instrumentation and emotional vocal performance. Her first record may be your favorite, like I said almost all of them are close in striking distance for me, originally I had this in 5th place, but after listening to it 3 more times I came to accept that while the sound is gorgeous, there was just as much quality in her later years. In 5th Place With A Score Of 7.6/10 5. Red (2014) Red as I've said before is her most important record, which was her smooth transition of genres from country to pop, as you can tell by the ratings is a pretty good album, but while this does have the least amount of 6/10's for me, it is overwhelmed with 7/10's. 63% percent of this record is 7/10 for me. And for a pop record which I view it as, that's pretty good, it's extremely hard to make an intellectual pop record in this day and age. Most artists like Camila Cabello or Shawn Mendes while great performers don't put much brains into their songs and you're left with a 5/10 record. Red played it safe in terms of it leaning into the pop genre further than it ever did with songs like 22 and I Knew You Were Trouble. It's what I like to call a wholesome album, which is an album which intellectual and casual listeners can enjoy, songs with so much heartfelt moments, and fun moments people can universally enjoy. So the fun moments for me are definitely songs like 22 and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, 22 is more of a bubblegum anthem, and those never really have vivid imagery, but this does put me in scenarios I've been in, like breakfast at midnight, however I will never EVER!!! go to a club. So there goes the relatableness. But still that melody is impossible not to enjoy (unless you're trigger) We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together is my favorite of the pop tracks, I don't think she's had as much fun in a recorded track, its a jam, still had a grudge as it was pushed to country, but still a lot of 2013 singles weren't country. Stay Stay Stay, is another fun little jam that border lines pop with modern country. It is harmless, hilarious and a good time throughout all of it. The S Tier of this record lies within the the opening and ending track, which is State Of Grace, and Begin Again, State Of Grace, shows the beginning of the end for her country career. I regret never seeing this song live, I adore it, and Begin Again, is her farewell to the genre, we get everything I love in a mature Swift song, beautiful instrumentation, compelling lyrics and sensitive vocals. And then imo the best track of the record: All To Well, so well written, beautifully sung, so perfectly built up to this dramatic conclusion. Red, is the safest record she's done, but the best of the record, is some of the best Taylor Swift has to offer. In 4th Place With A Score Of 7.6/10 4. Fearless (2008) This is what I call the golden age of Taylor Swift, drawing a fine line between mature lyrics and great instrumentation. This is the second time I've seen an album average out the same score, so to break it , I counted which album had the most 9/10's and here we are. Fearless brings back to a time, where I didn't have to worry about college, who I'm going to be, all I had to worry about was band and maintaining good grades. Her voice is slowly getting deeper and I got a feeling idolism. It is was my first record Taylor Swift record and I cherish it as much as I do for Chief By Eric Church, arguably 3 records broadened my perspective of the potential of country music, them being This One's For You and these 2. I've talked so much about my love of the album and I've yet to highlight why the album is good. Definitely the simplistic parts of her writing haven't been fleshed out yet, so you have a hand full of 6/10's but they are improvements from her first record. Like Hey Stephen, to me it is clever but I find the melody extremely tedious. The Best Day, I'm sorry if you guys love this one I just don't see it, it feels too perky and you guys describe this to be over emotional, but I can't be on the same page with this. The Way I Loved You, is a bro song, her first 3 albums heavily inspired the lyrical aspect of the bro era, and I don't know whether that's a good or bad thing. Still all of these songs are good especially when I compare it to songs today. This is also her 2nd best single output for her 8 records. The singles here aren't just great for radio, their great overall. You Belong With Me is impossible not to sing along to when it comes on when we play music on the bus after a competition. This was the peak of 2000's pop. Like Robert California from the office, I don't like the Blacked Eyed Peas, I wasn't a fan of the output for a majority of these artists like Usher, or Eminem, so to hear this everywhere was amazing. White Horse is arguably the best lyrically, with how it progresses the story, but Love Story is the perfect balance those 2 songs possess. Great story production, unforgettable melodies and the best sounding song on the record. Fearless for a long time was my favorite record, it was my childhood (the parts I can remember) In 3rd Place Receiving My Bronze Medal With A Score Of 7.8/10 3. Speak Now (2010) Speak Now had the highest expectations from me, given how much I loved the previous record and for a long time I always viewed it as inferior to Fearless, it wasn't till this even where I realized its slight superiority. My only real complaint is how I'm not a big fan of the punk rock sound a few tracks had, but still the tracks were good nonetheless. For a long time I viewed this as her most mature record, where we got to see more of her life as a celebrity rather than stories from her past. There was a lot of innovation with the record as she also experimented with orchestras for the tracks Haunted and Back To December, both capturing the theme the lyrics capture, Haunted obviously bring out haunting melodies and Back To December, bring out sincereness. You could tell she relied less and less on the high school narrative, she really uses it 2 or 3 times imo. A lot of the stories are so unique and feel interconnected in what I think the album's theme is which suppression of emotion. Speak Now the title track is about expressing love to some one who is about to marry the wrong woman, this is a perfect example of suppressed emotion as she does consider this is wrong, but she's tired of hiding it. Back To December is about swallowing pride rather than making a song about the man in the relationship being the wrong, this track is about how she was. Never Grow Up show's her side that never wished she grew up, how everything that matters to her aren't selling out shows, making millions but her family, I can tell I'm in the minority when say it's my favorite track, Better Than Revenge is her unleashing all her bitterness on Joe Jonas. Mean doesn't really convey the them of suppression, but still it's MEAN. The sound of it is amazing, it's pretty goofy, but that's why I love it. Dear John is the longest and most emotional roller coaster out of any Swift song, perfectly paced, unleashing all of her emotions about what I assume to be John Mayer, but I still have my doubts, take him out of the context, doesn't do a darn thing, I love this song just as much. Normally long songs eventually get me bored, but not Dear John I am moved by its haunting somber melody, the build up to her powerful vocals and one of her most compelling stories. Dear John while not my favorite, is what universally unites all fans of this record. This is currently the best country record she's ever made, who knows, Red is creeping up in appreciation, I learn a new detail every time I listen to a Taylor Swift record, so a year from now this record could be 5th or 6th or 2nd or 1st. Receiving My Silver Medal With A Score Of 8/10 2. folklore (2020) I don't think many people realize how much of a game changer this record is. I've argued Taylor has played catch up with Reputation and Lover, but once again she's ahead of the game. This blends several genres at once, country, soft jazz, rock, folk, pop and it doesn't feel disjointed. Without a doubt the most mature and well written record of her career as of now. If folklore was a country album, and given today's standards it is, I'd put it as the #1 album in the mainstream even above Never will by Ashley McBryde, the current leader of this year. Every single song is a fantastic album cut, it has changed the game for how she writes her songs, she's taken new perspective when singing about how she keeps up with appearances, new perspectives in break up and high school songs. The Saltbox House Chapter is a story line the spans off 4 songs, I don't remember the last time something like this has been tried, I'm sure it has but it's been a hell of a long time. The weakest song on this track is still something with so much effort put in, Seven's only major issues are vocal and melodical, lyrically it tells the story of a forgotten friend, and she can remember everything but her physical details. One great example of new ways of writing about her reputation, is The Last Great American Dynasty, instead of talking about herself which she's prone to do a lot. She sings about others and in this case, her Rhode Island home's previous owner. It's very compelling and one of my favorite lyrically, but similar to how much I love Round Here Buzz, the percussion here is too big of a problem. The 1 definitely feels like an outlier, as it doesn't really go in the theme of the saltbox house story line, or her new perspective of her appearance. But still it's fun to listen to. I can picture myself walking through grey skies in downtown for school listening to this record. When I walk alone, I like to be alone with my thoughts and this record allows me to reach that state, even simple songs like this one. Her songs about her and Alwyn are so wholesome, Invisible String is all about how an invisible string tied them together and they didn't know it. Little details of where they would've met earlier, places they've been to. Peace is about how while they are together, people will always look for cracks to get a story, and he doesn't are if its peaceful. Alwyn seems like the one for Taylor and I hope they last, he's better than everyone she's ever been with. I wouldn't be shocked if an engagement would be announced in the next few months as this song has finally brought her full circle as she's finally ready to commit, after everything she's been through. Mirrorball tugs at my heartstrings more than any song on the record, how she's giving everything she has in her songs, and each detail of heartbreaking her life is a crack in a disco ball. The world of music is heading into 2 directions, the trap path, which is a young generation singing in vulgar. The Saltbox House Chapter is undeniably the best part of the record, Cardigan, is a great lead single, while not my favorite, it deserves a Grammy nomination, as does the record, most can agree 2020, was mostly a trash year for pop/r&b/hip-hop/etc, and country music is actually getting good, with quality returning more and more with people like Maddie & Tae and Ingrid Andress. August my 3rd favorite track, fills the gaps left in cardigan. We get the details of how James was seduced, how this unnamed lover felt, her joy, her guilt, and sadness. This is Taylor Swift in her prime, something she's hasn't really been in for 6 years. Betty, which is climbing faster than New Years Day, or Soon You'll Get Better ever did, is becoming a defining part of country music for 2020. Betty was the entire reason appreciation week happened, after I was done smashing stuff after the load of crap that was the ACM awards, I reminded myself of how perfect Taylor's return was. Betty in terms of structure is 2020's love story, great storytelling and the key change implies a happy ending. But Illicit Affairs takes it over the top where we get the perspective of James and the unnamed girl, every dirty vivid detail on full display. Folklore brought back the Taylor I knew as a kid, she's changed drastically in the past 14 years, and this is a sign of maturity I can respect, I do have my problems with her but this isn't the place to discuss them nor do they damage my perspective of how talented and heartwarming she is. Folklore isn't going to be for everyone, this is an intellectual album, there isn't a jam piece like ME! or Delicate, its her being the best version of herself on full display for the world to see. And Finally In First Place Receiving My Gold Medal With A Score Of 8.8/10 1. 1989 (2014) To put it simply 1989, is one of the greatest records ever made, I use 3 lines when I describe my praise in reviews like this and that's favorite, best and finally greatest, favorite is pretty simple, I like this song in a non-intellectual manner, it's great not in critical aspects and mostly relies on earworm melodies and licks. Examples are Tequila, or Marry Me. Best is what I use to describe what is critically great. How good is the instrumentation, the lyrics, vocals, production, examples of Best are Mr. Misunderstood, Seneca and Heartache Medication, Greatest is a combination of both but with a 3rd factor, and that is revolutionizing music all together. 1989 broke music, starting a trend that would bring me back into the pop world after I abandoned it around 2009. 1989 would change the songwriting styles and production value of many albums for years to come, in away its the here's to the good times for pop music, difference is this would improve the genre over time, not damage it. 1989 simply is a perfect pop record. Now I say perfect pop record, not perfect album there are problems with it, but a perfect pop album, to me is an album with an engaging sound, unforgettable melodies, rhythmically well tuned lyrics, and great vocal production. 1989 even its weakest moments accomplishes everything. The opening track Welcome To New York, engages you into a thrilling setting, I'm about 15 minutes away from NYC, and while most of it is a rat hole, my first real experience by myself was this song, it is an instant classic, and I'm still mad it wasn't pushed as a single. When I take off for college this is my theme song when I leave as chances are I'm moving to New York to study Music Education. Up until folklore 1989 handled her songs about her you know what (I'm sick of using that word) Out Of The Woods, is about her wondering if she can finally relax with whoever she was dating at the time, as the paparazzi made it their mission to sniff around her personal life. I Wish You Would, while my least favorite is still a great song that probably would've hit #1 like every other single released on here. The irony of song feels so realistic, as the awkwardness and fear of a breakup can make our minds run wild of what the other is thinking, yes both Woods and Would are pretty repetitive in their melody but still they are great pop songs, compared to other songs trending in 2014, Ariana Grande is not my cup of tea, I'll never listen to her unless it's a song from Victorious. Bang Bang was mediocre at best, the literal garbage that is Anaconda. The only artists that really caught my interest was Maroon 5 and Ed Sheeran, and really only their singles did, this whole record captured me. All You Had To Do Was Stay marks the line from the good to the great pop songs, those are jams, but Stay highlights realistic issues in a fun manner, the toughest part of relationship is arguably enduring. And by leaving you show you're not ready and not the one. This Love, could arguably be called a country song, if you use 2010 standards, its beautiful if not a bit repetitive. The only real issue the record has is how repetitive the record can get in terms of lyrics. Clean is my least favorite in terms of production and percussion, but still great lyrical messaging of how going through a breakup is like ripping off a band-aid, it will hurt no matter what, the best you can do is endure the pain and once it passes you'll clean and free of most of the pain. I Know The Places was the first hint of the reputation era, and it's all about escaping the media vultures. Pretty simple messaging, but pretty descriptive in it's rap verses. Her metaphors are well put, how they are foxes, and they will hunt them down. How You Get The Girl is another synth smash, giving simple dating advice, for both short and long term. It's a jam and honestly nothing more, with a little bit story driven details sprinkled in. But the biggest reason this record is #1 and stands tall above the rest is the big 5: Shake It Off, Blank Space, Bad Blood, Style, and Wildest Dreams. One of the greatest single outputs ever in the history of music. Most lead singles sell around 2-3 million, and the other generic ones make around 800k. In 1989, 1 surpassed 12 million 3 surpassed 5 million and 1 passed 3 million. The only record last decade to surpass it in numbers was 21 by Adele, and it's Adele, who is extremely tough to beat, and in terms of single output I still prefer this over 21. The only album that I probably enjoy more in terms of singles in the pop world is ÷ by Ed Sheeran, and even then, you can tell in terms of a lot of the album process this record was heavily inspired by 1989. Bad Blood is my least favorite as its the most repetitive of the bunch and while Kendrick Lamar spiced it up it didn't change my view as much. Still that opening intro is fantastic, it's what Reputation wish it could be in terms of sound. Still salty we didn't play this in Marching Band. And even so lyrically a lot of interesting stuff is going on especially in the bridge. Shake It Off while never holding up to its standard is one her best jams, alongside New York, 22 and Delicate. Some people don't like the douche like bridge, I can understand and respect that, but I act like such a kid when singing along to it. For once I thought she's rising above it all, (boy what a lie that was!) Wildest Dreams restructured the sound of a lot of slow tempo contemporary ballads. It's beautifully sung, and gives off the emotion of pleasurable guilt, I can see the influence of Lana Del Rey, and that and this 80's synth remaster give the perfect combination. Style is the best song in terms of production, nothing over the past 14 years has been able to claim that title. For about 3 years it was my favorite pop song only being surpassed by Castle On The Hill. But still I listen to this track more than any Luke Combs song, Eric Church song, or any other song from indie and Texas artist. Style gives me an emotional rush, some of y'all will be pissed with how high I rate it tomorrow, as the lyrics I admit aren't substantive, but the production is something I haven't let go of for 6 long years, Blank Space is the best of the 5 and the record as while not a return to form sonically, it is a return in terms of storytelling. Brief little details of how she behaves, her next boyfriend, highlighting and summarizing every relationship she's ever been up till 2016. No one has truly escaped her wrath in songwriting, it is arguably her peak in pop, and I'm still considering where it will end up on my list. I do acknowledge when I praise this record it has it's problems, most are in terms of lyrical maturity, I gave it a 8.8/10, if I wasn't as critical as I was put this record around 9.3/10. There are better records out there like Pageant Material by Kacey Musgraves, The Tree by Lori McKenna, but while they are better critically in my eyes, I'll be honest, I would choose this record a thousand times. This record has one thing they don't, this record is unforgettable, if I live to 70 or 80, the 3 records that will always stay with me are Mr. Misunderstood, Seneca and 1989. Fearless is the golden age of Taylor Swift, Red is her most important record, Folklore is her most mature record, but 1989 is her Magnum Opus. It defied all of my expectations with how she handled Red, Mr. Misunderstood is the best mainstream country record of the decade in my eyes, 1989 is the not only the best pop record of this decade, but one of best of the century regardless of genre. It revolutionized the sound of music, changing it for the better, brought me back to a genre I abandoned for shallowness in every aspect, it somehow reignited that spark it had missed for several years. And that's why to me it is the crown achievement of Taylor Swift.
2020.09.27 15:04 RestingMehFace[Group Outing]: Chapel Ridge Golf Club – Sunday, Oct 4th
We were initially looking at Umstead Pines and Mill Creek but due to a member tournament and overbooking of tee times, both courses are busy. So we’re keeping this party going with an outing at a great course: Chapel Ridge in Pittsboro. We’ve had a lot of new joiners recently and a LOT of lurkers, so come out of the shadows and join us. We have handicaps ranging from single-digit to 20+, so EVERYONE is welcome!
I’ve played Chapel Ridge a good amount of times, and it’s a gem of a course. A little south/west of Durham/Chapel Hill, it’s a short drive to am enjoyable course. Bob Moore and Fred Couples designed course tips out at 7,136 yard but have more comfortable tee boxes at 6,700, 6,500, and 6202. The course is hosts a very nice variety of holes and will require strategy from the tee box. The website has a great hole-by-hole view. Important Notes:
Invite a friend and lets fill the tee sheet
Pace of play: play ready golf and be ready to hit so we can all get home
Play whatever tee box you want
Skins game will be done through Venmo and should all play from the same tee box
I'll be testing out live scoring through the BlueGolf app to see how it works!
2020.09.25 20:35 Rsubs33[Game Preview] Week 3 - Cincinnati Bengals (0-2) at Philadelphia Eagles(0-2)
Cincinnati Bengals (0-2) at Philadelphia Eagles (0-2)
The Eagles are off to their worst start with a real coach since 2003 (I consider 2013-2015 non-existent) when they also dropped their first two games of the season. The team would like a repeat of that season where following a week 3 bye,the team rebounded to defeat the Bills 23-13. The Eagles ripped off 12 wins in their remaining 14 games following their 0-2 start. Maybe the Eagles will be able to do the same, but they will have to shake the injury bug first. The Eagles will be without first round pick Jalen Raegor this week who underwent surgery on his hand to repair a torn UC ligament in his thumb. The Eagles may also be without Fletcher Cox who is dealing with an oblique injury. The Cox injury should be watched closely if he can’t go, Joe Mixon and Joe Burrow will have a much easier day against the struggling defense. Last week against the Rams, the defense was under prepared and unable to stop anyone. The Rams took advantage of Jim Schwartz’s consistently odd decision to have his CBs, play so far off the line of scrimmage, giving a free release to the WRs and allowing easy short passes. If Schwartz does the same this week, it will be another long day for the Eagles defense and a great fantasy day for Tyler Boyd, who Bengals Joe Burrow connected with 7 times last week including 1 for a TD. On the other side of the ball Doug and Carson will both need to be better than the last two weeks. For Carson, he needs to get out of his own head and play with confidence. For Doug, he needs to find some creativity and help his 5th year QB. He would do well to get Carson moving and utilize the RBs more in the flat and screen game. However, if we see more of the same we saw in weeks 1 and 2 from the Eagles coaching staff, we should expect another loss. Hopefully that is not the case and Carson and the coaches can learn from their mistakes in weeks 1-2 and pull our a win this week. Go Birds!

Eagles 32 - Rams 14
Andy Dalton threw a pair of touchdown passes and Cincinnati finally got its depleted offense moving without receiver A.J. Green, and the Bengals sent the Philadelphia Eagles to their most lopsided loss of the season, 32-14 on Sunday.
Andy Dalton threw a touchdown pass and ran for another score, an opportunistic defense forced five turnovers, and Cincinnati beat the Philadelphia Eagles 34-13 on Thursday night. The Eagles offense imploded turning the ball over 4 times with another turnover on a kick off. At one point the Eagles turned the ball over on 3 straight possessions. The Eagles lost double digit games for the first time since 2005, in one of the last games the Eagles were coached by Andy Reid.
Eagles - The Eagles' struggles continued in their home opener against the Los Angeles Rams. An early fumble by Miles Sanders led to a Rams touchdown by Tyler Higbee. After the Eagles cut their deficit to four with a Jake Elliott field goal, Los Angeles responded with a Robert Woods touchdown run followed by a second Higbee touchdown catch. Trailing 21-3, the Eagles closed the deficit to five points by halftime with touchdown runs by Wentz and Sanders. After forcing a three-and-out on the Rams' first possession of the second half, the Eagles would drive to the Los Angeles 21, only for Wentz's first down pass to be picked off by Darious Williams, turning the momentum back in the Rams' favor as they would outscore the Eagles 16-3 the rest of the way. Despite not being sacked once during the game, Wentz finished the day with a 56.5 passer rating, completing 26 of 43 passes for 242 yards and two interceptions. The 37-19 blowout loss dropped Philadelphia to 0-2 for the first time since the 2015 season, and marked the Eagles' first home opener loss since that same season. It was also the first home loss to the Rams franchise since the opener of the 2001 season.
Bengals - After losing their regular season-opening game at home, the Bengals then traveled to Cleveland to face the Browns for Battle of Ohio Round 1. In the first quarter, the Bengals scored first when Randy Bullock kicked a 38-yard field goal to make it 3-0. Though, the Browns took the lead when Nick Chubb ran for an 11-yard TD to make it 7-3. In the second quarter, the Browns went up by double digits when Baker Mayfield found O'dell Beckham Jr. on a 43-yard TD pass to make it 14-3. The Bengals then came within 4 after Joe Burrow found C.J. Uzomah on a 23-yard TD pass to make it 14-10. Mayfield then found Kareem Hunt on a 6-yard TD pass to put the Browns up by double digits, 21-10. The Bengals closed out the half when Randy Bullock kicked a 43-yard field goal to make it 21-13 at halftime. In the third quarter, the Browns went back up by double digits when Chubb ran for a 1-yard TD to make it 28-13. The Bengals drew closer with Bullock's 27-yard field goal to make it 28-16. In the fourth quarter, the Bengals were able to get within 5 when Burrow found Mike Thomas on a 4-yard TD pass to make the score 28-23. Though, the Browns would go back up by double digits yet again when Hunt punched the ball in for a 1-yard TD to make it 35-23. The Bengals wrapped up the scoring when Burrow found Tyler Boyd on a 9-yard TD pass to make the final score 35-30.

The Eagles are 23-10 (.697) at home in the regular season under head coach Doug Pederson, which is tied for the 6th-best home winning percentage in the NFL since 2016, trailing only New En-gland (.818, 27-6), Baltimore (.758, 25-8), Kansas City (.758, 25-8), New Orleans (.727, 24-9) and Green Bay (.712, 23-9-1).
In Week 2 vs. L.A. Rams, Miles Sanders combined for 131 scrim-mage yards (3rd-most in a single game in his career), including 95 rushing (1 TD) and 36 receiving. In 2019, Sanders led his class with a franchise-rookie-record 1,327 scrimmage yards.
Brandon Graham recorded sack No. 52 of his NFL career against Rams QB Jared Goff in Week 2 vs. L.A. Rams. His 52.0 sacks are the 5th-most in Eagles history, behind Reggie White (124.0, 1985-92), Trent Cole (85.5, 2005-14), Clyde Simmons (76.0, 1986-93) and Hugh Douglas (54.5, 1998-2002, ‘04).

Stats to Know
QB Adjusted Completion %
What’s one thing rookie Joe Burrow and 5th-year Carson Wentz have in common? They have not been terribly accurate so far. PFF has an Adjusted Completion % stat that accounts for clear drops, spikes, throw aways, batted passes, and throws made while getting hit. Burrow and Wentz are near the bottom in AC%, with 70.4 and 70.3, respectively. Interesting to note a bit of the distribution within the array of aforementioned stats: while Burrow has had one of the lower rates of on-target passes dropped by the receiver (4.1%), Wentz doubled that at 8.4%, good for 5th-highest. Yes, Wentz has stunk, but...
Matchups to Watch
Rookie versus Veteran, Which QB Has Poise Down 0-2?
With two consecutive weeks of porous defense from both the Eagles and Bengals defensive units, this Sunday's matchup should rest squarely on the shoulders of each offensive unit. Will the Eagles be able to rely on fifth year starter Wentz? Will he be able to shake off two tumultuous weeks and put together a consistent offensive performance? Will the Bengals weapons coalesce around their rookie Burrow? Will he be able to put together his first complete NFL game and demonstrate that this season is the turning point for the franchise? A big piece of Wentz stabilizing his game time performance will be continuing his focus on short-time-to-throw plays. From Week 1 with 8 sacks versus the Washington Football Team to Week 2 and zero sacks versus the Rams with the vaunted Aaron Donald, the Eagles Offensive Line and Wentz’ pocket choices resulted in less lost yards and broken plays. Unfortunately, key turnovers again forced short-yardage scoring situations and massive tempo swings. Wentz needs to take advantage of the cleaner pocket that will likely be available versus the Bengals (2 sacks on the year so far) and finish drives cleanly to put the game away. Without rookie WR Jalen Reagor (placed on IR with a thumb injury after Week 2), Wentz will have to make use of the remainder of his threats, including veteran DeSean Jackson who had 6 catches on 9 targets for 64 yards against the superior Rams’ defensive backfield. Joe Burrow has had the classic introductory NFL QB experience. A high-flying game versus the Browns last week, with 300+ yards passing, 3TDs and zero ints was fantastic bounce back from Week 1 versus the Chargers. 193 yards, 0 TDs, and an int will not win the game for the Bengals versus the Eagles, even if Wentz struggles. A key focus for Burrow will be settling into the routine and relationships he’s formed with his offensive weapons. AJ Green remains one of the best WR threats in the NFL and his slow start to the season (8 catches for 80 yards) could end at any time, in any game with a QB like Burrow. Burrow threw a nearly record setting number of passes during the almost-come-from-behind loss versus the Browns; if the Bengals are able to establish their run-game and abuse the Philadelphia secondary in a similar way to the Rams offensive scheme, then Burrow could have a very big day. If he is forced to drop back 60+ times, and Joe Mixon is again held under 75 yards on the ground, the Bengals and Burrow may have a hard time. Keep an eye on how comfortable each QB is feeling, and whether they can establish good tempo. That will be key to offensive production this weekend.
Coaching Conundrum; Pederson versus Taylor
At the core of the NFL these days is the combat between offensive and defensive schemes. Both coaches come from a background of coaching QB play and offensive schemes, though from different eras and coaching trees. How they go about using that experience to enable their teams to a secure a necessary win this week will make or break their seasons. Doug Pederson, at the helm of a revamped offensive coaching tree with the addition of Quarterbacks Coach Press Taylor as Passing Game Coordinator, has had a rough three year stretch of offensive stumbles. Since the miraculous Super Bowl 52 season (2017), the Eagles have consistently failed to be productive, with a lot of the challenges relating to lack of roster depth and poor player improvement through misaligned coaching. This is the third consecutive year of stuttering offense to begin the season and a big piece of the matchup versus the Bengals will be how well the Eagles can settle in. Coach Pederson has made it clear that the lack of full-speed off-season practice plays a big role in the Eagle’s struggles so far; so it remains to be seen when and if both units can make use of this gametime practice to solidify the small flashes of prior success we’ve seen. Opposite Pederson is Coach Taylor, in his second year of a complete rebuild, now with the (ideally career-long) franchise WB in Burrow. Hailing from the Shanahan line, through the LA Rams McVay, Taylor was brought into Cincinnati to recreate the organization’s coaching structure and form a new core for the team around veteran WR AJ Green. The 2019 season showed marked improvement throughout, particularly in run production and passer protection; the addition of Covid-related practice limitations have also taken their toll on the Bengals’ preparations for this season, as exemplified by the Week 1 drubbing by the Ravens. Taylor returns this season with second-year offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, formerly the QB coach for the Raiders. The cerebral talent in the Bengals organization is clearly arrayed around giving Burrow the best possible chance to shine; and they may just do so against an extremely poorly performing Eagles defense. Being able to establish consistent offensive strength and consistency throughout this season will be a key part of whether this new coaching structure is able to flourish in Cincinnati or if yet more change is needed to remake the franchise. During game day, keep an eye out on how these coaches make use of their star players, now that the very early season yips and stumbles should be behind them. Whoever can appropriately adjust to the flow of the game and take advantage of the others mistakes will win this football game.
The Big Punt: How Special Teams Makes An Impact
Kevin versus Cameron, Huber versus Johnston, two players that may very well decide the nature of this Bengals versus Eagles matchup. These titans of the turf, two punters to rule them all, and two punters to pin them deep; two punters waiting on call, and two punters to make fans weep. In lieu of offensive production, and in hopes of good defensive play, Kevin Huber and Cameron Johnston bring their punting prowess to Lincoln Financial Field this Sunday. Hailing from opposite sides of the Earth, Huber from Cincinnati itself, and Johnston from Geelong Australia, these two are some of the most capable foot-based deliverers of the football to opposing teams. Huber holds nearly all of the Bengals franchise records in punting statistics; and Johnston holds the highest gross and net punting averages in a single Eagles season. The third year Australian punter is known by Eagles fans for his insanely long hang-time and penchant for pinning the NY Giants inside the 20 (20+ times in four games). Huber is loved by the Bengals fanbase as both their longest tenured player and his consistency over the past 13 years. He has missed just 2 of 180 possible games, and has been perennially top 10 at his position. Both players are in the final year of their contracts, so effective performance is a must for maximum salary gains. Keep an eye out on how effective these two are in establishing and keeping good field position. If both teams are struggling for consistency, these swings may be the key to a late drive that puts the game away. Additionally, with every punt comes the magic of a muffed punt return. If you’re a particular connoisseur of special teams play, watch and see if these punters add any special spin or location to their strikes; and key turnover last week in this position kept the Eagles hopeful. Maybe lightning will strike twice for the Eagles Special Teams and the Wizard with the Large Leg, Cam Johnston; maybe the Bengals gunners will scoop up a muff and Huber will be huger than expected. Stay tuned!
2020.09.23 18:28 CyrusWaughSpeak Now (2010) All Songs Ranked
It's time for part 3 of Appreciation Week and we've finally enter the Speak Now era of Taylor Swift's career. I can tell online, and from my friends perspectives this is a fan favorite, so when I do my ranking don't get triggered about it, for all I know my opinion could be the exact opposite of yours, which is a good thing, but lets be intellectual about this rather than emotional. This was a weird time imo, the mainstream sound of music was in the R&B party anthem phase, where groups like The Black Eyed Peas and LMFAO thrived, given this new wave, Speak Now definitely felt like the odd one out in terms of sound. Not to mention creeping slowly was the bro era of music, so while I do hold this record to a high regard it feels out of place timeline wise. 14. Better Than Revenge To sum up my distaste for this track, is pretty simple: I'm not a fan of alternative rock, so this isn't going to be my cup of tea, but still its a fun time, where she takes a jab at Camilla Beller, in a way its a sequel to Forever & Always from the previous record on the Joe Jonas breakup, I can't help but feel awkward listening to this, but keep in mind these are really personal issues for me, there are some who crave this sort of storytelling and instrumental style, the second verse definitely kicks things into high gear for me though when she tries to show their perspective of her, and it is well done, overall I think the song gets a little too repetitive, they could've made the song a little shorter to eliminate that issue. 13. Story Of Us Pretty similar thoughts here, the style of this music isn't for me. But unlike Better Than Revenge, this song definitely needs to be this length, the progression feels so smooth, and this is why I don't date someone in the same class, sport or job, because if/when you break up it is extremely awkward, and that awkwardness is captured here, there is a lot to like about this song, no I don't hate this song, I just have some problems with it, I'll let you know when we get to the record where there are songs I genuinely dislike. If punk/alternative is your style, then I'd recommend this as a fun middle lane for you. 12. Haunted That opening with the orchestra is so bombastic, so provocative, I love it, I think my number one issue with this song is that it relies too much on the chorus, and could use more verses given this song is 4 minutes long. From what I've gathered this has to do with guilt of wanting to be with someone you've been cold to. And even though she's with someone new, she can't help be reminded of this person. I think its pretty good in terms of messaging as she takes a hypocritical stance, of leaving someone in a dramatic manner, and overtime want them back to finish what they started. This could've used a better storytelling perspective, but the bombastic production makes it hard to realize that issue, the music builds up so well by the bridge, so instrumentally it is way up there, and it just has the short end of the stick when it comes to the writing. 11. Sparks Fly I think metaphorically, this is a little disjointed, while I get what she is saying when she compares herself to a house of cards and he's a rainstorm, they are two completely different thing so this could've used a small revision. From what I've heard, this song actually went through several revisions both lyrically and instrumentally, they cut out the banjo to get a more pop-rock sound and from a business sense, I respect the decision, she was getting bigger and bigger and she had to keep up with the times, fiddle, banjo and steel were becoming less prevalent to casual listeners who adored her. So they began experimenting with sounds and melodies, melodically they nailed this but I can tell there was a shift in quality for the writing and instrumentation of this track. 10. Mine Crucify me for not putting this higher. I think this is the catchiest track on the record. But it really feels formulaic to me, and I'll argue lyrically the last 2 records inspired the modern Nashville writing style, I'm not saying Taylor's done it as bad as they did, she is light years ahead of them, but her style of narrative definitely carried into acts like Thomas Rhett, FGL and Luke Bryan in later years. My favorite lyric is you made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter, production is a little bit of an issue with the multiple vocals going on at the same time, I'm honestly just nitpicking at this point as the rest of the record from here on out is top tier. 9. Speak Now Speak Now is one of those songs with unique perspectives that I adore. About a girl crashing her love interests wedding, the word play is on a whole other level. Saying all that's wrong with this bride, its all so vivid, from a dress shaped like a pastry, to snotty relatives dressed in pastel. The storytelling flows smoothly, minor lyrical changes work wonders, it may seem so small but it can move mountains in the writing. However this song does make the same Dustin Lynch mistake, by rhyming girl with girl, I must hold a standard for myself as amazing as this song is, that is a no for me. But everything else about the song rules for me, 8. Enchanted I know I made an issue of too long songs but this and rest of the long tracks are an exception. The beauty of the songs is expressing the message through not just the lyrics but the vocals, about when she met this person who "enchanted" her (idk else how to describe it) and she never saw him again, and the only way this person can realize this song is about him is the word: wonderstruck which apparently was used in one email she received from him, you get all these emotions of franticness to doubt to hope. One of the best bridges in any of her songs. Enchanted captures all this emotion and the length helps express that. It is an exceptional power ballad, telling what could seem like an insignificant story to something so captivating. 7. Back To December Yes I'm an uncultured swine for not putting this in the top 5. It's her swallowing her pride, rather than giving what I assume to be Taylor Lautner the Joe Jonas treatment she is actually being mature, and this is a prime example of her turning the page from the high school narrative that dominated the last 2 records. And she goes back to December several times, playing it through her mind over and over. How she compares the seasons to her relationship with Lautner, how fall was beautiful and when winter came it turned her cold. I think this doesn't have the right emotion in terms of vocals, this is a pretty small issue for me personally, not really something technical. It's the biggest hit of the record no doubt, and really shows off her maturity from the last record. I love the song regardless of my arguably nonsensical issues. 6. Mean What can I say, the acoustic work is amazing, I was going to put this at #2 or #1 but I knew I should be objective, also might I add, I always here this song in a cracker barrel, I legit have not been to one that didn't eventually played this song. It is one of the only genuine country songs on this record, she could've easily kept this as an album cut as she kept experimenting more and more with pop sounds, I'm glad this was a single, and it was huge. I'm sure we've all dealt with A-Holes and instead of going low like them, its best to take the moral high ground and be patient, because eventually you'll rise higher than them. I love the way she pronounces pathetic, it may seem small but I find it freaking hilarious. It is my favorite track on the record, and while I recognize the quality of the top 5, I'll probably still play this song more than any of them. 5. Long Live Long Live is a dedication to her fans and curiosity of where she will go from here, it was the dawn of new decade, music was changing drastically, and the age of jamming to a song with a fiddle like Zac Brown Band, Brad Paisley was fading. Its her appreciating how she's come so far. When she's done making music she hopes people will remember her fondly, and this song didn't really age well as during the Red Era, was probably when she face the most brutal of criticism, for her being too nice, or fake, and she doesn't deserve any of that. Long Live while not holding up to the dreams envisioned is still a great reminder of looking back to what made you what you are which is very empowering. 4. Innocent If I remember correctly this was written in response to Kanye West ruining what was supposed to be one of the greatest moments of her life. How stardom really can change someone, and as she continues to rise in the music world, she'll try to stay the same, and deep down she's still innocent, now in terms of her, that is not true in the slightest, but in a positive message towards others this is really compelling., and she highlights how flames turn to embers, if you lost your way, its never too late. The buildup to this beautiful ballad is amazing, her vocals are clear, and this ironically is one of the only times she's take the moral high ground when it comes to addressing rumors and insults towards her reputation, because later on she would get ridiculous and bombastic but we'll get there soon ;) 3. Last Kiss I think this is either the last or one of the last songs directed at Joe Jonas, and unlike the last 3 they aren't centered around bitterness, this is just sincere and regretful, its a snow globe of brief happy moments with hints of neglect. She just misses him after all the songs saying how terrible he was or his new girl was. Vocally it is heartbreaking, and yet feels like a mature satisfying ending, not really a happy ending for both of them, but she realizes this is for the best, she was beating a dead horse at this point and its good putting this drama on a shelf. No more, forever and always, no more better than revenge, just moving on which was the right thing to do as she went on to better places. Another case in point of her taking the moral high ground rather than the fun sassiness I love to see. 2. Dear John This track is nearly 7 minutes long, the longest out of any track in her discography , I could fit two songs in here, that's crazy. Now this may or may not be about John Mayer, no one really knows for sure, so I'm not really going to use that as context, its really about dating someone who emotionally neglects you, trying to be with this person. but they always make it worse as she describes he makes sunny skies but shortly makes them rain, and she tries to play his game but he always changes the rules, the wordplay is arguably the peak for this record. How this person is an expert at sorry and keeps the lines blurred, whenever Taylor isn't bitter, she reaches a state of writing so good yet rarely seen. I feel like people might put this one lower because of its outrageous length and might skip it, but for me this song is unskippable, every moment is so captivating, and if you're anything like me seek this song out, it is some of the best she has to offer. 1. Never Grow Up I love Never Grow Up for a lot of reasons, its simplicity, its stripped back production, whenever its just her and a guitar, I know its an instant classic. It brings up the fact most people when they're little take their childhood for granted, we all have a bombastic dream like run for president, or an astronaut, and we can't wait to grow up, but growing up we realize those years was the time to be alive, where at least I had more freedom and now I'm entering the cold brutal world. And the overuse of the word Up may turn you off this track, but I find it secretly brilliant, this is the best vocal track out of the entire record. How money and fame is a lot and everyone wants it, she expresses everything truly important to her will be gone one day, which is her family, they are more important than anything which is a wholesome value everyone should have. So those are my thoughts on Speak Now, how would you rank them, and now we get into bubblegum pop country phase of her career with her 2012 record Red.
2020.09.23 16:16 PetterPanIsLinkJaleb vs Jely & The Losing Battle.
It’s clear that outside of this Reddit that Justine & Caleb aren’t they only fan favorite couple. Rather liking it notable by recent polls and various social media posts that there’s at least half the audience who prefer Johnny & Cely. I really don’t want to debate racial injustice when It comes to screen time as we will have to go through how Johnny and Cely are also people of color. That being said Johnny is doing exactly what he said he was going to do, create a redemption arc. Being that this is a dramatized tv show at the end of the day production are going to play that up no matter if people believe it’s an act or an honest attempt at bettering himself. Main point being I feel no matter what couple the show puts attention on they are going to anger a fraction of the audience. Put focus on Johnny and Cely and people will be mad that they’re forced and trying to push this false Johnny narrative. Put focus on Justine and Caleb and the Johnny supporters will say how they’re boring, how they keep showing them do the same loveydubby over and over and not paying attention to the other couples. As for the other couples, can everyone please stop attacking Moria. Yes, she’s a mess when it comes to handing relationships on this show but we don’t need to bully her and treat her any less of a person. Carrington has been described to be a very charming guy. We seen glimpses of his attractive insightful personality and that appears to be what a lot of those woman are attracted to being they see more of it. The fact he gets all these dates is just luck of the bachelor or Date-Guy. I really don’t believe production is focusing them all to go for him. The kid is 22 and has a lot to learn just trying to have fun in the process. It’s really up to Laurel if she wants to wait for him to figure himself out or go through it with him. He really could be a much more mature person as he ages or stay in the free roaming bachelor role awhile longer. We hardly even seen Kierstan and Bennet when they’re the freshest couple. I can’t imagine it being solely a racial thing to Justine and Caleb when the show can’t fit time for even the newest couple in their 40 some minute run time after ads. TLDR: Getting upset over rather or not CBS has something against Caleb & Justine by not giving them screen time and that Johnny & Cely are being showcased is a losing battle. Both sides are tied and either will be open to backlash no matter the case. If you want your favorite couple to win simply vote for them. Choosing to not watch the show just means that it’s more likely to be canceled. Forcing CBS to follow your wishes could just mean they take the advice next year and push a similar couple that you may not even like. See the fan split for Liz & Zac last year. Don’t bully Moria or other islanders just because you don’t like them or have tv time.
2020.09.22 07:56 JankTribalWith the Introduction of Samira, It Is Time to Discuss More Bans
Warning: This is an opinion of a shit-tier player who also happens to be a redditor, so take this with a grain of salt. Not this sub needs more salt but I digress. With the introduction of Samira, the total champion roster is now a grand total of 151 champions, and with all of the newest, terribly fun and interactive champion releases, bans have never been taxed so heavily by so many different champions. I am going to argue that a systemic change or update is necessary, and to do so I am going to state some facts and assumptions I have that influenced my thoughts on this. To begin, some simple facts that I believe to be relevant are threefold:
There have been 17, soon to be 18 with Seraphine's release later this year, new champion releases since the introduction of the 10 ban system, which occurred early in January of 2017. Though it did not make it to NA/EU queues until later that year, it had undergone testing prior to that in China and Korea, and was introduced at that time into pro play, which is why I am using that particular date as a reference point.
Xayah and Rakan were the first truly new champions released into the new system, but they were not truly the first "new" champs in my opinion. In total, according to the League of Legends Wiki, there have been 19 champion gameplay updates since that date, and even more if you go back just a little bit into the year before. The list is in the order of their respective gameplay and/or visual update: Warwick, Galio, Maokai, Sejuani, Zac, Urgot, Xin Zhao, Evelynn, Swain, Irelia, Aatrox, Akali, Nunu, Kayle (and kinda morg but I'm not counting her), Mordekaiser, Pantheon, Diana, Wukong, Fiddlesticks, andVolibear.
Warwick and Galio updates actually released before Xayah and Rakan, to give a bit of perspective on the timeline.
This means, in total, that since the 10 bans system was introduced, the number of champs that have mechanically add to or changed within the game is actually 36 in total, which is a huge number of champs that you may need to begin banning that you didn't before.
To state some important assumptions that I have that I am using as a foundation for my position:
I will be arguing from the perspective of an average-skilled player in solo-q, and what the game looks like or should look like for that class of players, when they are playing ranked. this means the effect it would have on the highest tiers of play is not going to be a heavily considered factor. The 10-ban system may be perfect for high elo and pro play right now, but honestly, I sincerely doubt that is true or, at least, that it will remain true as more champs are reworked and released.
I will also be arguing that League is, at its core, a game, and it is meant to be both fun and competitive for the user, and that the 10-ban system is not enough to keep the game fun and competitive.
Lastly, I will be assuming that players have Biases against certain champions when they ban them, and are not banning on a strictly power-level basis or to avoid a counter-pick.
My argument is very simple, and I can break it down into two main parts: The raw gameplay, and fun.
From a Gameplay perspective, the game has changed an absolutely mind-boggling amount since the introduction of the 10 ban system. Aside from the 36 champions I already mentioned, dragons, runes/masteries, the jungle as a whole, hell, even the structure of the map itself changed with dragon maps, the plants, and the alcoves. This has drastically changed how many champs function within the game, some being more or less frustrating to play with and against, and others feeling left behind with many of the new changes (cough cough udyr cough). I argue that due to the numerous amount of systemic changes, and due to modern design philosophy, many champs, usually newer ones, but with some old favorites such as everyone's favorite edgy wind boi, have become increasingly frustrating and terrible to play against and deal with. I think this is backed up by some very easily acquired data in ban rates, where players routinely ban the intersection of frustrating and strong, meaning they aren't banning the solely frustrating champs, but the highest winrate of those frustrating champs. From the top 10 most banned, Darius, Caitlyn, Morgana, Hecarim, and Yuumi are good examples. However, the rest of the top 10 most banned is purely assassins, and all of them have multiple dashes and high "outplay" potential and damage. These are Yone, Yasuo, Akali, Zed, and Evelynn, with Kass coming in at number 11. These champs regardless of winrate, because Yasuo, Yone, and Akali all come in under 50%, are easily shown to be hard to deal with and frustrating to play against.
My argument from that is this: these champs simply take away from the fun of the game for those that have to play against them. Let me be clear, I do not think they shouldn't exist, but obviously players do not want to play against them, and there are now so many of these types of champions that they impose a tax on the bans. Sure, it would be nice to ban your lane counter, but then you might have to play against Edgelord Mcgee, and leaving up the counterpick at least allows you to potentially have more fun in the game.
This is especially the case when it comes to certain types of abilities, like windwall, or infinite dashes, or a ton of stealth. Sure, it might not be great to play against thresh in lane, but man is it gonna suck later as an adc trying to play against windwall or zed ult/evelynn charm/akali ult+E/take your damn pick of the lot. I do not believe it is unreasonable to claim that people ban these champs specifically so they don't have to play against these types of abilities.
So where does that leave us? I would argue that it leaves many players feeling unsatisfied, and like the game is unfun. There are 20 posts a week of adc in 2020 because damage and burst is at an all time high. For the average player, this is just not fun to play against, despite the fact that it may very well be fun to play. Say for the sake of argument, a hypothetical system of 20 bans that looks just like the current system, except each player has 2 bans instead of one. Even if that were the case, nearly HALF of the new champs and reworks that have occurred since the 10 ban system would be left up, so there would still be 131 champions to choose from, which is a very respectable number I think. Even taking a step back from that hypothetical, allowing teams in solo-q to have 14 or 16 bans such as a system where you do a traditional or pro draft style with 5 initial bans, and then 2 or 3 before the second phase would introduce a new element into the draft phase while giving players more options and opportunities to ban out more of the unfun or overpowered champs. Hell, even making the ban phase VISIBLE to all players at the same time so there aren't repeat bans would be a fantastic upgrade from the system we have to allow more actual bans, since many of the truly unfun or OP champs get banned twice due to the frustration they cause. But that's just my personal, probably garbage and biased opinion. I know that league fundamentally must be the same game across all skill levels, including pro play, and many of these systems would probably break that aspect of the game. But, I would argue that it is still more worthwhile in the long run to introduce a new system for more bans sooner, and deal with the inevitable metagame shifts and pro play in general later, for the benefit of the average player. ... TL;DR: Moar bans cause many unfun new champ, make old champ and regular player sad and salty. maybe moar bans would make game more fun for average player, plz discuss

Gallen had the first rough outing of his career his last time out, against the Mariners. He allowed seven runs on seven hits and five walks over five innings. This will be Gallen's second appearance this year against the Astros.
Greinke got off to a great start, going 1-0 with a 1.84 ERA and no homers allowed in his first five starts. But he has slid to 2-2 with a 5.79 ERA and five homers allowed in his last five starts.
674/67 A background into 67/674, formerly known as BHB (Brixton Hill Bullies/Brixton Hill Boys) OSG (On Sight Gunners/On Sight Gang) and Marga Road, Brixton Hill, South London. Clapham Park Estate Most, if not all drill fans will certainly have heard of the 67 group in drill as it has been extremely active in the drill scene, the fact that South London is pretty much one of the hottest vicinities for gang rivalry, the fact that they are one of if not the most successful drill group and its intense rivalry with certain other South London areas like Clapham, Angell Town in Brixton and Croydon, I've seen many other pages with talk about 67 like the music they produce and more so about who they beef and the discographies that 67 have, but for people new to UK Drill (or who do not know some of the history of the 67 gang) I trust you will find the background to 67, and its actual precursors intriguing. It took me a while to gather information on a group so widely known as other neighbouring London groups. I may do more of these, I could do 417 based in Tooting, NPK based in Northumberland Park and maybe Manor Park based in the Manor Park and Cage area.
Based around the London Borough of Lambeth, located on some estates in Brixton including Clapham Park, New Park Road, Bruce House, Pearce House and Tilson Gardens with or near the SW2 postal district. Some of their territory has expanded to the Clapham/Clapham Park area of SW2. New Park Road is another name for the gang and they have mainly been seen in South London in Brixton Hill on the Tilson Gardens. They are a very active gang and have been around for over ten years dating back to the BHB/Marga Lane days where drug dealers from Brixton/Brixton Hill would offer people drugs to make money and at a time when now-rivals GAS Gang caused Brixton to be a massive no-go zone in accordance with the great rivalry with Peckham, they are very closely allies with fellow South London area Lower Tulse Hill, they are also one of South London’s most well known and active gangs, stemming even well before the days of 55 and Roupell Park gangs. 674 also go by #67 , #BHB , #OSG , #NewPark , #BrixtonHill. Brixton is known casually as ''Bricky'' by many gang members and by locals. 674/67 The Brixton Hill area borders Streatham Hill (SW2 and SW16), Tulse Hill (SW2), Clapham Common (SW4) and Kennington (SE11). Many of their rivals are based in and around these areas, in particular Angell Town in Brixton and Clapham. Born from the ashes of old-school South London gang called Marga Road or more commonly known as Brixton Hill Bullies, Brixton and Brixton Hill then saw rap groups form more commonly though in the latter 2000s under the BHB and GAS labels and it quickly became a well known stomping ground for many of South London's well know and rising road rap/trap music talents, most notably Ard Adz, Sho Shallow, Stickz (credited with making the first drill song), Scribz/LD (who was one of the originals in the drill rap scene and vastly considered to be one of the best and some to be the best in the drill genre) and Dimzy. Working under the 67 and BHB/OSG banner through the early 2010s, the gang quickly found a creative style of music on tunes like "I'm OJ I Don't Play" gradually making their presence known into London's road rap/trap rap scene. As the sounds of London's road rap shifted, so did the 67's: their 2010s song ''Skengman'', saw the group delve into U.K.-style road rap/trap, while in the latter 2010's songs like ''Let's Lurk'' and ''Live Corn'', helped to establish 67's presence on the burgeoning drill scene. It was in the 2010's decade that gangs like 67 truly made their mark: working with producers from MKThePlug to M1OnTheBeat and especially Carns Hill whom 67 have been extremely successful with, 67 gradually built a following with their disses to rivals and creative synergy. Marking their songs with the tag #67/OSG, the gang founded their drill collective just as 674, an homage to the OSG initials when punching in the buttons on a trap line, where gang members will have been engaged with this sort of lifestyle and represent it. Alongside their rivals 150, 67 have been vastly credited as the pioneers of the UK drill music genre. A number of past and current generations of gangs have existed in Lambeth and other London boroughs that associate with the colour red and blue, some of which in the past had also self-identified themselves as Bloods and Crips. One of the first of these was the short lived Cripset from Dorset Road which claimed affiliation to the Rollin 80's Crips in Los Angeles. The gang was most active throughout the mid 2000's and were rivals to 031 Bloods, now know simply as 031 (O-Tray One) based in the Patmore and Hartington estates. This is seen as a massive influence on London from the famous American rival gangs Bloods and Crips. 67 themselves have never claimed Crips or Bloods like some of their rivals have and they have always affiliated with the colour black. There are a number of other gangs in London which have been linked with the colour red. The 031 Bloods from Stockwell have always used the colour red, whilst the former gang EvaStrap (now known as Reed Road) in the borough of Haringey in which they are located had asubset nicknamed 'Reed Road Cripz' and can still be seen using blue bandanas to this day, this is due to the ongoing American influence. Some of 674's rivalries have identified with colours themselves such as 150/AD who used to be known as just GAS Gang (Guns and Shanks), identify with the colour purple and also 410 who used to be known as OC/Organised Crime linked with the GAS Gang gang collective, identify with the colour green.
Current beef and alliances
BHB/OSG/Marga Road and the current 67 gang have had some of the same rivalries between gangs but some of the rivalries were rid of and have now become extinct during the current generation of the 67 gang. The current generation of the mass rivalry in Lambeth has overtaken the old school rivalry that was between Brixton and Peckham. 67 allies: KuKu/Black Prince (SE11), Harlem Spartans/HarlemO/Kennington Park (SE11), RP/Roupell Park (SW2), RS (SE1), 417 (SW17), Mitcham (CR4), TeamRaw/M-Block/ABM (All Bout Money) (SW4, SW8 and SW9), 55 (SW16), 86/861/LTH (Lower Tulse Hill) (SW11), Pollards Hill (CR4) AY17 (SE17), Moscow17 (SE17) and Browning17 (SE17). 67 rivalries: 150/AD (Armed and Dangerous) (SW9), 410 (SW9), CMB (SW9), UTH/UpTop (Upper Tulse Hill) (SW2), Cassava/Loughborough Junction/CMG (SW9), 727/SIRU/Siraq (SW9), Worsopp Drive/CT/ClapTown (SW11, SW15, SW18 and SW19), 37/OJB/RPhilly/Block10 (SW11, SW15, SW18 and SW19), FudgeTown (SW17), 28s (CR0), ARs (Armed Response) (SE4), 17/WanoRd/TOG (Tape Off Gang) (SW4), China Walk (SE11), Roadside/Block 5 (SW4), 031/Team Trizzy (SW4) ( and 061 (SE1). 67 on the fence: Zone 2/HitSquad (SE15) 67 fellow Brixton gang: Blenheim Gardens (SW2)
Brixton/Brixton Hill had always had a multi-generational problem with gangs, with each generation taking on their own identity and name. Angell Town Estate, where GAS Gang was formed, has long had problems with gang violence and poverty, previously being home to the gang PDC. In a 2012 Lambeth government report, Angell Town Estate was characterized as "severely deprived in income, employment, heath and crime". By the early 2000s, PDC, which was the dominant gang in the area at the time, began to fragment due to many of its leaders being imprisoned. Various different groups emerged from this fragmentation, such as the Muslim Boys and Y28s (not to be confused with Y28s that preceded PDC). A member of the PDC Brats (a subset of PDC for the younger members) called Barfah Joof was involved in founding the new Y28s. The Y28s began to form friendships with neighbouring gangs in the area, such as Tiny OC based in Myatts Field, and Murder Zone based in Somerleyton Estate. Y28s and Tiny OC had formed a rivalry with Peckham-based gangs, and at one point gang members were caught unarmed by Peckham gang members, leading to one of their members being stabbed. For a time before the early 2010's GAS and BHB were seen making music together in a loose alliance. 674 initially associated with the colours black (inherited from BHB), although colour associations would begin to be irrelevant by the 2010s. BHB did not inherit any of GAS' rivalries with Stockwell and Peckham-based gangs. In 2009, a set of BHB/OSG tracks were released showing present day members of 674 and 86/LTH members such as a very young Scribz/LD and Dimzy. BHB also gained its first attention in the music media in 2009, when a road rap was really taking off and when they was a presence of gang-related lyrics in the road rap scene. GAS Gang's prolific activity led to parts of Brixton becoming a no-go area. By 2012, they were considered one of the most dangerous gangs in South London and outnumbered gangs based in Brixton Hill, with at least 3 murders being committed by GAS gang members from 2010-2012. The local council and police in 2012 believed the gang was responsible for three quarters of violent incidents involving young people in Brixton, with up to eight suspect members of the gang going to jail for attempted murder or murder. In 2010 several people in Lambeth were shot dead by a groups of gang members in estates, tower blocks and streets, on estates in Brixton, Loughborough Junction and Myatts Fields, South London. It was in reports that youths who committed some murders were members of GAS Gang. Police reported that Brixton gangs in 2011/2012 were coming together in order to fight back against incursions from Peckham-based gang members, leading to a sort of confederation amongst Brixton gangs while still Angell Town was still retaining the GAS Gang label. This even led to close affiliations between GAS and Murder Zone (MZ), a gang based in Somerleyton Estate who are now known as 727/Siraq. Another gang, Cassava based in Loughborough Junction, decided to merge with GAS Gang and form an alliance against 67/BHB. Younger generations of the 67/BHB gang came into conflict with the 031 Bloods, G-Street and RSG Blood gangs from Brixton and Stockwell from the late 2000's to early 2010s. It is not known what the exact ignition for the new rivalries was, however, some believe it related to inheriting rivalries from Stockwell allies ABM/Team Raw. Many of the newer and younger recruits to either gangs are unlikely to know why they are rivals with one another – it is just translated simply as “Bloods versus Crips” with most commentators and observers accepting that without probing for a more in depth explanation. 67 allies like ABM had come to identify with the colour blue. Like a number of London gangs who wear blue the motive was because their main rivals had adopted red and the Bloods identity but it was not an affirmation they were Crips and 67's BHB predecessor were not Crips. In London, the majority of gangs who identify with red are uncertified, unofficial, or in a sense fake Blood gangs. In contrast, a smaller proportion of gangs that identify with blue actually claim to be Crips.
However, GAS Gang also began to fragment due to leaders of the gang receiving heavy prison sentences, leaving huge holes in their place. Independent factions developed, with some younger members of GAS Gang now referring to themselves as Rockblock 150, and later simply 150/Get Back Gang. whereas some GAS Gang members from Somerleyton Estate now referring to themselves as 727 or Siru/Siraq. The fragmenting also led to infighting between the two new factions. Another split-off occurred around Brixton Road, with a group of GAS Gang youngers forming a new group called Villa Road. 150 would develop a rivalry with Brixton Hill-based group 67. Allegedly a lot of the breakup in relations in Brixton, Tulse Hill, Brixton Hill were all caused by Sneakbo who was a member of GAS Gang, Sneakbo had allegedly snitched on Brixton gang members, especially 5Star who is now a member of Siraq. The murder of Lil Zac/Zac Olumegbon caused problems since he was loved by gang members and was liked by 67 affiliated Mental K and 86/LTH/TN1, Tulse Hill split into Upper and Lower Tulse Hill, those linked with GAS/150 were to become Upper Tulse Hill and those sided with Stockwell and Brixton Hill/67 were to become Lower Tulse hill. New Park Road has been a very active part of Brixton and gang activity dates back to the 2000s, with members of the estate being quite active in the 2011 London riots. While they did share a loose alliance with Angell Town and neighbouring estates, making up a faction of GAS Gang, recent years would see the two neighbourhoods split and actively beef. Brixton Hill is even considered different than Brixton which shows how truly split the once united Brixton is. 67 at one point were known to be ruthless, which is why they have been able to successfully battle against many rival gangs surrounding them. The Lil Zac stabbing was a revenge attack for the stabbing of a GAS member the previous month. Olumegbon was present during the earlier attack. On the morning of Friday 2nd July 2010 eye witnesses described seeing five youths pulling up in a green car and then chasing Olumegbon down the street armed with knives. The car drove alongside the attackers ready to pick them up and quickly escape once In 2011, five prominent members of GAS, Ricardo Giddings (aka Maggy), Helder Demorais (aka Mad H), Jamal Moore (aka JJ, Younger Sneaky, or J-Kid), Shaquille Haughton and Kyle Kinghorn (aka Clickz), were sentenced to a total of 76 years in prison for the murder of rival gang member, fifteen-year-old Zac Olumegbon (also known as Lil Zac) the year prior. This was the start of 150/GAS Gang's conflict with Stockwell-based gang, ABM (All Bout Money) who are down known as TeamRaw/MBlock. Zac was alleged to be a member of TN1 (Trust No-One), which had an allegiance with ABM. Well known drill artist ReekzMB is a member of TeamRaw and is currently serving a lengthy sentence. 67 overtook the BHB/OSG gang with the youngers and formed in Clapham Park Estate, Brixton Hill, South London, in 2014. They have been known for their 2015 track "Skengman" and ''Let's Lurk'' featuring Peckham-based former SN1/Peckham Boys gang member Giggs, which hit number 66 on the UK Singles Chart, and whose instrumental was used by Michael Dapaah in his 2017 parody track "Man's Not Hot". In 2014, Scribz was issued an Anti-Social Behavioural Order that banned him from making and performing music for two years. In 2016, Scribz's ASBO order came to an end and then he released a tune called Wicked and Bad in which he sent for opposing gangs 150,17 and CT who are all linked to each other. He also mentions in this song that him (Scribz) and LD are one and the same person. In 2017, he was jailed for possession of a knife. The group has been labelled a "criminal gang" by the police, and had their first UK tour shut down. In July 2018, Dimzy shared an open letter accusing the police and media of "scapegoating" their music. In 2019, R6 and others were arrested for running a county line; the group was sentenced to a combined 61 years. They are best known for their 2016 track "Lets Lurk". They were nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2016 MOBO Awards. A 674 member named Incy was today jailed for 12 years over the killing of a gang member and a student by the name of Dwayne Simpson whose road name was SQ, who was attacked in a fight as he tried to protect his friend. Incy who was 21 at the time, stabbed SQ in the heart after he intervened when he saw a friend being chased along Brixton Road. The Old Bailey heard Julienne-Clarke and Mr Simpson were involved in a "long-running dispute". - The Standard. This points to the beef between 67 and 150 which is known to many people including the police. SQ, 20 at the time of his killing, was a former student at Lambeth College, he followed Incy in his car on the afternoon of February 25 before getting out and confronting him. However Incy was jailed under a manslaughter charge for twelve years. ''Rhianna Addison, 19, from Brixton, was acquitted of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice. Two other people - a 41-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man - remain on bail after being arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Three other boys, all aged 16, were released with no further action following Mr Simpson's death.'' - The Standard ''Detective Inspector Nathan Eason, who led the investigation, said: "Dwayne senseless killing has caused immense suffering to his family and friends.'' - The Standard "This has been a difficult and complex investigation and officers wish to pass on their gratitude to those members of the community that provided assistance." - The Standard In the 2010's, many police officers and undercover police offers were involved in investigations on the homes and roads of 674 gang members across their territory. Leading to raids that were conducted in and around Clapham Park Estate, with 674 Gang being specifically targeted. It was known to police and locals that 674 had expanded their drug dealing operations across the UK with contacts in Basingstoke, Southampton, Bedfordshire, Reading and Bracknell. The gang was also linked to knife crime, gun crime, stabbings, and attempted attacks on neighbouring rivals. Dimzy had his arm broken by the police in around 2016/17. CRose, ASAP, LD, R6, SJ, Liquez, Incy, Giant and Monkey have all had charges either murder, firearms, county lines and knife charges put against them. The most recent drug charges against the group was in 2019. Giant killed a member of CT by the name of Stompz and received a life sentence. Liquez's brother was killed by Rondo and Squeezy in Clapham and both received life sentences.
Kate-Zahl (Toltec), Kul-kul-kan (Maya), Tah-co-mah (NW America), Waicomak (Dakota), Wakea (Cheyenne, Hawaiian and Polynesian), Waikano (Orinoco), Hurakan, the Mighty Mexico, E-See-Co-Wah (Lord of Wind and Water), Chee-Zoos, the Dawn God (Puan, Mississippi), Hea-Wah-Sah (Seneca), Taiowa, Ahunt Azoma, E-See-Cotl (New Guinea), Itza-Matul (Yucatan), Zac-Mutul (Mayan), Wakon-Tah (Navajo), Wakona (Algonquin), etc..(2)
When he left the Toltecs and sailed away to the East, Kate-Zahl promised to return to them after several cycles of their calendar. He made a prophecy about the destiny of the sacred city Tula (now identified with Teotihuacan in Mexico) through two millennia. The Toltecs would be conquered first by the Sacrificers of Men (the Aztecs), then by white-skinned, bearded men of the East carrying fatal “thunder-rods” - the Spaniards and their guns:
"Further off there is another invasion. In ships many bearded men are coming from across the Sunrise Ocean... I see these men taking the Broad Land... They do not respect our trees of cedar. They are but hungry, unenlightened children... "Would that I could speak to these bearded farmers. I have tried. They do not hear me. They go on their way like spoiled children... "Stand with me in the Year of Te-Tac-patl. Look across the Sunrise Ocean. Three ships come like great birds flying. They land. Out come men in metal garments, carrying rods which speak with thunder and kill at a distance. These men are bearded and pale of feature. "They come ashore and I see them kneeling. Above them I see a Great Cross standing. That is well. If these men are true to the symbol they carry, you need have no fear of them, for no one who is true to that symbol will ever carry it into battle. "Therefore hold aloft your Great Cross (T), and go forth to meet them. They cannot fail to know that symbol, and would not fire their rods upon it, nor upon those who stand in its shadow. Well they know that what is done to my people is done also to me. "When the years have come to their full binding, the metal-tipped boots of the strangers will be heard in all the bloody temples. Then throughout the Broad Land has begun the Third Cycle. As yet, I cannot see beyond it. "Once I had great hope for these people, for I saw them kneel and kiss the sweet earth, and I saw the shadow of the Great Cross which they carried with them. Now I must warn you against them. "Carry your great books into the jungles. Place your histories deeply in caverns where none of these men can find them. Nor do you bring them back to the sunlight until the War-Cycle is over. For these bearded strangers are the children of War. They speak my precepts, but their ears do not listen. They have but one love and that is for weapons. Ever more horrible are these weapons, until they reach for the one which is ultimate. Should they use that, there will be no forgiveness in that vale where there is no turning. Using such a weapon to make man over, is reaching into the heavens for the Godhead. These things are not for man’s decision, nor should man presume to think for all things, and thus mock the Almighty. Woe to those who do not listen! There are lamps beyond that which you are burning; roads beyond this which you are treading; worlds beyond the one you are seeing. Be humble before the might of the Great Hand which guides the stars within their places. There are many lodges within my Father’s Kingdom for it is more vast than time, and more eternal. "Keep hidden your books, my children, all during the Cycle of Warring Strangers. The day will come when they will be precious. "For five full Cycles of the Dawn Star, the rule of the Warring Strangers will go on to greater and greater destruction. Hearken well to all I have taught you. Do not return to the Sacrificers. Their path leads to the last Destruction. Know that the end will come in five full cycles, for five, the difference between the Earth’s number and that of the Gleaming Dawn Star, is the number of these children of War. As a sign to you that the end is nearing, my Father’s Temple will be uncovered. Remember this in the days which are coming."
Tula-Teotihuacan was found and excavated by archaeologists only in recent years. In another prophecy, Kate-Zahl described the city as it will be rebuilt in the future:
"Then the heavens spoke in a crash of thunder, and the lightning flashed above the valley. The Man turned to look again on Tula, his most beloved city. Behold! It was naught but a mass of rubble. "He wept there with great sorrow. He clung to the rocks, staring back toward Tula. Then the heavens roared again and shook the mountain. A flash of light struck beside Him and cracked the darkness. Behold! The old heaven and earth were vanished, and He looked into another cycle. "The heavens parted and a rising sun shone down on another Tula. Plainly he could see the valley, but the city was one He knew not. Magnificent was this Golden Tula! "The Man was lifted beyond the earth. No longer He saw the Age of Destruction. Gone was the horrible Age of Warfare. He was looking beyond the Age of Carnage! "Walk with me through this Age of the Future. Tula shines in all its glory, but the metals are of types we know not. Loving hands have rebuilt the parkways, have paved the streets, have rebuilt the temples. There is a great building where books are kept for the scholars, and many are those who come to read them. Tula is a great Center of Culture. "Come with me to the New Colula. Shining again is My Father’s Temple! Once more the city is filled with fountains and the parkways are wire-netted for the birds of rare plumage, and those who sing to enchant the listener. Cross through the parkway to My Father’s Temple. You will see again the inscriptions which today your eyes are seeing, but now all people can read them. "Come to the city of the future. Here are the buildings unlike those we build, yet they have a breathless beauty. Here people dress in materials we know not, travel in manners beyond our knowledge, but more important than all these differences are the faces of the people. Gone is the shadow of fear and suffering, for man no longer sacrifices, and he has outgrown the wars of his childhood. Now he walks in full stature towards his destiny --- into the Golden Age of Learning. "Carry this vision on through the Ages, and remember Kate-Zahl, the Prophet."
In Book X of his History, the 16th century chronicler Fray Bernardino de Sahagun described the departure of the "wise men" who had been the attendant priests of Kate-Zahl at Teotihuacan:
"The wise men remained not long; soon they went. Once again, they embarked and carried off the writing, the books, the paintings; they carried away all the crafts, the castings of metals. And when they departed, they summoned all those they left behind. They said to them: "Our lord, the protector of all, the wind, the night, saith you shall remain. We go leaving you here.
Our lord goeth bequesting you this land; it is your merit, your lot. Our lord, the master of all, goeth still farther, and we go with him. Whither the lord, the night, the wind, our lord, the master of all, goeth, we go accompanying him. He goeth, he goeth back, but he will come, he will come to do his duty, he will come to acknowledge you. When the world is become oppressed, when it is the end of the world, at the time of its ending, he will come to bring it to an end. But you shall dwell here; you shall stand guard here..." A surviving Toltec legend includes this prophecy:
"Ce Acatl [Quetzelcoatl] spent a night with a Huiteca family. They fed him and played music for him. The father, a strong Indian farmer, showed Ce Acatl a stone carving he had and told him, "This carving tells of the coming of the Lord of the Dawn. it says he will come in the Year One Reed. It says he will build a city and change the world." "The farmer had no idea who he was talking to. He continued. "Now," he said, "many people say he will not come. Many people say it is a long time from now that he will come. Some people say he will come from the East and he will bring a great book of words and numbers. Other people say he will come from a tree and count the Last twenty Days of the Creation. What do you say about this?" "Ce Acatl grew gray with the depth of his answer. "If I told you of my thought, of what I know of the Spirit of the Lord of the Dawn, if I told you of what I think will happen, you would laugh and think me crazy. So I say only this: One day a race shall walk upon this earth, a race of men whose spirits are so great, whose wisdom is so complete, whose powers to commune with the Creator are so keen they will dwarf the doings of the Lord of the Dawn of our day. When that day comes the Creator will send forth a manifestation that will in turn amaze the wisest men of that unbelievable age. And even then the greatest brains on earth will wonder --- has he come? Will he come? Or has he been here?"
When he departed, Ce Acatl promised to close the Thirteenth Heaven and open the First of the Nine Hells, and he vowed to destroy the man-made gods. He set the year and date of his birth (260 years later on Day One Reed in year One Reed) and said, "I shall return. I shall come from the east like the Morning Star, and I will fulfill that part of the prophecy.” It is said that when Ce Acatl passed away at the age of 52, "A hush fell over the entire planet, and burning bright in the heavens directly above the great tree, the Tree of Life [El Tule], glowed the planet Venus, the Morning Star.”" Quetzelcoatl also foretold the following:
"In time, white men will come out of the eastern sea in great canoes with white wings like a big bird. The white men will be like a bird with two different kinds of feet. One foot will be that of a dove [Christianity], the other of an eagle [predator]. A few hundred years after the arrival of the first white men, other white men would arrive with both feet as a dove."
Quetzelcoatl himself or his spirit would come in the form of a white dove at that time. A Zapotec prophecy, transmitted by Joseph Jochmans, also announced the recent return of Quetzelcoatl:
"One of the incarnations of Quetzelcoatl is buried beneath the roots of the sacred El Tule Tree near Oaxaca, and as the first rays of the dawning sun of the new heaven cycle [August 17, 1987] sink into the depths of the Earth, billions of tiny spirits will burst from the heart of Quetzelcoatl.
They will slowly rise through the trunk, through the limbs and branches, appearing as sparkles of light, finally erupting from limbs and branches, to circle the globe, each spirit to implant itself within the heart of a human being, and plant a crystal of peace and love..."

WHY WE’RE HERE
We’re here for one reason: Hanson fucked up, are defending and burying racist and dehumanizing behavior, and we as fans/former fans expect better of them and need a place to talk about this and grieve what we lost. Our primary purpose is to support each other. We are not out to cancel Hanson. We have no intention of ending their career. We want them to keep it. Many of us want to support this band in good conscience again. Most of us are fans that have waited in line for hours to get a good spot at shows, never missed a single tour, faithfully renewed their fanclub memberships, laughed along at livestreams when Taylor predictably broke it, and felt so much joy in sharing our love of this band. That is why PostHanson exists. In a perfect world, Hanson would own up to their mistakes, understand the pain they have inflicted on their fans, how they contribute to systemic and overt racism, benefit from the work of Black artists and music, and take steps to bridge that gap they have created. We want them to use their considerable privilege for good instead of standing on the backs of those they refuse to humanize and acknowledge. Hanson always has that option and opportunity. The door is always open. There is always a space here at PostHanson for anyone in the fan community (past or present) who recognizes the severity of these issues and behaviors and needs a place to process it. Whether you choose to leave the fandom entirely or are grappling with decisions, as long as you know that what they are doing is wrong, there is a place for you here.
RULES & GUIDELINES
Please remember that everyone here is at a different place in the process and that we can only make decisions for ourselves and not for others. If you swore them off from the getgo and are having second thoughts, that's ok. If you were on the fence before but are more resolved to abstain and boycott, that's ok too. If you still have no idea or it seems to change day to day, that is also just fine and this is the place to come work that out. Generally, PostHanson is a place for anyone who does not believe that the band’s behavior is acceptable. Members here are not required to do anything but understand that concept and engage in good faith surrounding it. If you do not believe the band has done anything wrong or support them unconditionally, this is not the place for you and there are plenty of other welcoming fan spaces for you to socialize and engage. With that being said, we have four simple rules. There is always room for improvement or discussion sometimes but so far we have found these are the best cornerstones from which we operate:
No excusing the band's racist behavior or debating what racism is or isn't.This subreddit is for us to process our feelings about Hanson's behavior and actions. It is not to make excuses for them or debate over their intentions. Their actions, especially Zac's, are racist, even if they didn't intend them to be. This is not the forum for debate on that topic.
No Personal Identifying Information or DoxxingNo private information such as phone numbers, addresses, etc of any fans, band members, or associates (3CG staff) should be posted. Violations of this rule may result in a zero-strike insta-ban. Anonymize everything before you post something if the people involved are not public figures. This includes your own information too. By using this subreddit, you understand you are posting in a public forum. Always expect that you are being watched and quoted by lurkers. Do not share your own information for your own safety.
No flame wars, instigating, or "cancel campaigns."Take that to tumblr. Don't come here just to start anything. Either engage in the discussions with good faith or leave. Posts will be removed if they are not genuine discussions. Whenever a flame war starts, do not attempt to put it out on your own. We all know that on the internet arguing for the sake of arguing rarely ends well. Use the report feature to flag comments and posts. They do not necessarily have to be rule-breaking if we just need to step in (the report prompts will tell you what to do). When you report a comment or post, we will get a notification and be able to handle it.
Stay on topic. This is not a confessions or secrets blog. Please stay on topic. We're talking about the band's silence and its contribution to systemic violence against Black people and how to move forward whether one leaves Hanson behind entirely or turns their back during this time. As of September 2020, we have begun hosting bi-weekly free-for-all posts to share off-topic news. Please use the most recent one for that purpose!
Here is the original welcome-post text for some additional guidelines. There may be some repetition but the concept still remains vital to PostHanson’s mission and existence:
Read the rules before posting anything. You get a MAXIMUM of two (2) warnings.
Whether you walk away for good or are just holding out until they get their act together, you're doing the right thing. This isn't easy to do. Be understanding with each other that so long as there's no Rule 1 violation that not everyone is going to be at the same point.
Remember that this is not just about us and our feelings, but action. Come here when you need to vent or support or check in on things but this was born from fans drawing the line over Black lives, a line the boys refuse to also cross with us. Show up for Black lives right now, that's the point.
The purpose of this sub is to help fans understand why the band's behavior is a problem, NOT to instigate a mass cancellation campaign against the band. If you receive messages from anyone saying that we are doing that or asked you to participate, or anything of the norm: it is patently false.
Use post flair when necessary! Receipts flair is mod-only; we will apply it when necessary. Use your best judgment when using the TW/CW flair.
KEEP YOUR SUBJECTS CLEAR AND TO THE POINT WHEN YOU MAKE A POST. Don't be cryptic. This helps your post get SEEN. The subjects on the "receipts" flair are a good example.
Report fuckery you run into to the mods. Use the REPORT function. So far this has not been an issue but better safe than sorry!
HOW TO POST
You may have noticed that when you first joined, you can’t start a post. You can comment and upvote. Please, absolutely, do that to start while we review your request if you want to be able to start your own threads! We know there are a lot of new redditors here! Reddit is fun and useful but does have a bit of a learning curve. Please visit Reddit 101 and Using Reddit to get started. First: reddit mobile app SUCKS for these things and is not newbie-friendly. If you do not have a desktop browser available and must use your phone please try the browser and forego the app just when requesting to post. These instructions are for browsers. IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO POST: Please click the "REQUEST TO POST" button on the sidebar. It will either be below or the same button that you used to join. If you try to make a post before you are approved, reddit interface will just yell at you and/or make you save it as a draft. “Approved user" is a bit misleading: anyone is allowed to comment and participate, and in fact, we will need to see this happening before you request to post. "Post" and "comment" are not the same thing! Most people get approved right away if they're participating well. PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE/PM THE MODS TO REQUEST POSTING ACCESS. If you use the "Request to post" button, this makes things buttery-smooth. We can all see your request, we can easily see your comments in the forum, and the "request to post" button activates things for us that literally just means we take a look and approve it or not. If you message us either individually or by modmail it creates several extra steps that can really slow it down. So long as we know you're participating in good faith, you don't need to "pitch" post ideas to us :) And of course, you can always use modmail to get hold of us for any other reason! If we have not responded to your posting request within 72 hours then you can check in with us via modmail! Modmail: on desktop, is the envelope on the "moderator" sidebar. On mobile, is accessed on the top-right dropdown menu of the main subreddit "contact moderators" - this sends a message to a shared inbox we all see. Do not send modmail asking a request to post. Make every effort to use the “request to post” button. Some reminders for when you do have posting access: Please make your subjects CLEAR. Something like “I’m sad today” or “look at this confession” or “irony” won’t get your post much attention. “My open letter to ITZ” or “Taylor’s IG post on [DATE] about [SUBJECT]” will get traffic. Double-check that your post has not already been created. We like to keep discussions about most specific things (social media posts, events, etc) on one thread if possible. For events such as ticket sales and livestreams, we mods will already have something scheduled. If the post is about an image (such as a confession or IG post) please try to upload that as a picture post. This is much easier for all users, but especially mobile, to see and comment on and saves everyone an extra click. Remember to anonymize! Reddit now allows galleries to be posted with some limitations which is really useful.
I just found this place and I am so overwhelmed. I don’t even know where to start or how to feel. It’s pretty tough news when you find out someone you admired and looked up to for so long turn out to be capable of terrible things and such selfish apathy. We suggest just going through posts here that jump out to you and not just reading them but responding to and talking to others. It really helps a lot. You’re not alone and there’s nothing wrong with feeling grief, anger, disappointment, or anything in between. And you don’t have to feel guilty about this either given the state of the world. This isn’t the Struggle Olympics: for many of us, Hanson was a place of solace and comfort during times just like this and we have lost that. It’s okay.
Why don’t you just leave if you hate the band so much? Of course, if we hated the band we would “just leave” but we’re not sure what that means anyway. We don’t hate them. Do our memories and feelings about them really impact your view and fanship? If so, how? Why?
What is the difference between Hansongate and Pinterestgate? There isn’t one. They are the same thing. We’re so sorry for the confusion! It was a communication goof between us mods when we first organized the timeline. It couldn’t really be undone. Either term works! However do keep in mind that “Hansongate” is already something involving a pretty vile Australian politician but it has stuck due to using “Han” or “Hanson” as a modifier or prefix of many fan references.
Where are all the receipts? Thankfully this is much easier to find now! If you look on the main subreddit page, you will see some menu items at the top above the main post feed. One is called “receipts” and will take you to all the posts with receipts. As things develop these may get reorganized from time to time but will largely be easily accessible.
Why are you here and “discussing” things if you aren’t trying to CANCEL them? This is a genuinely great question and we’re happy to answer. There is a great discussion here about it with a fan, including (if you have time) a video from ContraPoints about the differences between holding people accountable and processing our experiences versus cancelation. While the band’s behavior is atrocious, we don’t want Hanson to lose their career over it. Our main purpose here is to support each other and have a safe place to talk about this with others who understand or are willing to learn. We want to make it very clear though that we know we are not the authority of individual fans, just of this specific forum. While we have become the default space of the Pinterestgate situation, we have no interest in policing behaviors outside of this forum. Personally we believe that there are definitely situations where someone should be “canceled” the way we understand it but that is not our mission here.We hope this clears it up.
You’re censoring everyone, banning just as badly as the band is, and dividing the fanbase further! We have never asserted that we are a place for all fans. We are a place meant for a specific type of fan; that is, one who needs support and a place to discuss breaking up with a beloved if not all-time favorite band they have admired and looked up to just like you do. Other fans who are still with the band faithfully have plenty of spaces to be where they are welcome. We remove content that is racist and otherwise oppressive or abusive. This is part of our commitment to keeping it safe for the people this forum is meant for. Relatively very few comments have had to be removed because of this. Most often, we simply lock threads. Reddit, just like Hnet, is a privately owned server and can be operated as its owners choose. Just like Hanson pays for their own space and can set their terms, so do Reddit moderators and users agree to the terms of using Reddit. We are permitted within reason to be more strict than Reddit requires in their blanket terms which apply to all subreddits. Basically this means we can do what we have been doing and we have no intention of changing. If our terms and content anger you, this isn’t the place for you. Our goal is to support each other and talk about the band. Our problem has always been the band’s behavior. Outside fan behavior is just a factor. The divide between the fans will always remain. If you are on the other side and want to bridge it, think about what you can do and control. People are banned if they are abusive or repeatedly break the rules. No one who has been banned are people who were participating in good faith.
All lives matter! If they truly do, then it shouldn’t bother you when people remind you that Black lives matter, too. That is the point of the movement and a tired response on your part and posting it here will get you booted pretty fast.
I can't believe you violated Zac's privacy like this! Zac's accounts were not hacked. They were leaked by an insider. They were not even private. He is responsible for the way he handled that material. He even irresponsibly connected the ITIAirsoft name to Hnet when he would post game screenshots. It was publicly visible all along, just not promoted. We were not the people who leaked the information. We simply encountered it like you did and created this space.
What can we do right now?
Unless we organize something that originated here, these are currently the only things we encourage you to do regarding this specific event:
Hold ITZ accountable on their public social media posts*;
Boycott: no tickets, membership renewals, merch orders, or streaming media;
Show up for Black lives: donate and email or post mail them the receipt (especially great if you can afford the $40-45 membership fee);
Write a letter and send it in the post: they do actually get a good amount of physical fanmail. The address is 209 N Main St., Tulsa OK 74103.
Continue to post in the subreddit about your feelings. The guys are reading this. Their non-apologies, gaslighting, and refusal to be responsible is actively hurting the fans, all on different individual levels. You are allowed to be hurt and angry and confused and not sure what to feel and they need to see and understand that their poor actions and inaction have consequences.
*This does NOT mean harassing or being disparaging. Strawman fallacies, personal attacks, etc., will not be helpful. We can vent about that here. We want to encourage good behavior and want him to do better (that is if you want this situation to be redeemed if you feel it can be. But we do not condone being cruel to their faces.)
HOW TO REACH US
For any questions, comments, or outside inquiries, please use MODMAIL. Modmail is the envelope button you see next to the moderators’ names. 2020.09.12 08:29 GdokimHave You Seen My Friend Sarah?
I've always hated going into the woods at night especially the ones that surround my town of Silver Lake (somewhere in the Pacific Northwest). Normally, at the time I would have been at home watching TV or sleeping but not on that cold Autumn night three weeks ago... You see, my best friend since elementary school vanished after a night of bar hopping. My best friend Sarah was beautiful with her long blond hair and piercing blue eyes (a total contrast to my brown hair and hazel eyes) she could have been a model. Back in high school, Sarah was voted most likely to succeed and was well-liked amongst our peers. Her warm smile could brighten up even the dreariest of days and that fact alone made me proud to be her best friend. Anyway, her troubles began during our freshman year of college when she began dating a twenty-year-old Junior by the name of Zac Davis (not his real name). Now Zac, who stood 6 feet tall with jet black hair and green eyes was hot and Sarah knew it. Like any relationship though the beginning was magical and according to Sarah, Zac was beyond perfect but there was a dark side to him too. See, things soon began to take a turn for the worse about 8 months into their relationship. He became very controlling preventing her from seeing any of her friends and sometimes was abusive. When she finally found the courage to break up with him, surprisingly, he agreed. A month after their break up though, she began to receive harassing phone calls from him. This went on for several more months until finally, she had enough and obtained a restraining order against him. The whole ordeal took a toll on Sarah and she became a recluse. Soon, she began to exhibit odd behavior like talking to herself, seeing people who weren't actually, there. It wasn't long before she dropped out of school too. She seemed to snap out of it around her birthday. Even inviting me to go bar hopping with her but I had to study so, I declined (I wish I hadn't though). That night while I was studying, Sarah called me crying hysterically. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Help," she managed to whisper before letting out a blood-curdling scream. I quickly dialed 911. The cops located her car with the engine still running, but Sarah was nowhere in sight. They immediately cordoned off the area and began treating it like a crime scene. Something like this never happened in my hometown. Anyway, I stood there transfixed and watched as they meticulously gathered evidence from her car. "Sir, you're going to want to take a look at this," I heard one cop say to another. I walked over to see what the ruckus was about and noticed a trail of blood that led straight into the woods near the cottage. Now, to give you a history of the woods that surround my town, I have to start from the beginning... See there was a legend about a young widow who lived in the woods some years ago. She lived happily with her husband until one fateful day, he was murdered. The woman was so distraught that she sought comfort in his brother. Eventually, she fell in love with her former brother-in-law (who was married) and it wasn't long before she got pregnant. Not wanting to raise the baby on her own, she threatened to tell his wife about their affair, and in a fit of rage, he killed her (or so he thought). A week later, he was arrested and taken into custody. He was later acquitted when another man came forward and confessed to her murder. It wasn't long before people began to report seeing the dead woman in the woods giving birth to the local legend. Some of the town's people even claimed the dead woman, was a witch. Over the years, teenagers would dare each other to spend the night inside the cottage but nobody was brave enough except Sarah and me. Well getting back to the story, the cops found a trail of blood that led directly to the cottage. When they entered the cottage, they found Zac's body. Eventually, they were able to locate Sarah in the cottage cellar. She appeared to be in shock and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Gradually over the course of the week, she began to talk to me but her voice sounded almost raspy. Soon the hospital staff began to report hearing strange laughter, like cackling coming from her room chilling them to their bones. Staff and patients alike began complaining about a strange sulfur-like smell that permeated throughout the hospital that sometimes, lingered for days. Lights began to flicker in the rooms and a loud banging noise like someone slamming their fists against the walls could be heard too. It was really eerie. Whispering could be heard coming through the intercoms and two of the nurses reported seeing an elderly woman lying on a bed in one of the empty rooms only to vanish when confronted. Anyway, Sarah even attacked several of the nurses (which was unlike her) and so, they had to restrain her. I began to notice a drastic change in her appearance too like her once blue eyes were now, green and strange lacerations began to appear on her body seemingly out of nowhere. But the last straw came when I got a call from her mother telling me Sarah had vanished from the hospital. This morning, I got a call from Sarah asking me to meet her at the cottage and I agreed When I woke up, my head was pounding and I felt a bit groggy. I didn't remember much of last night only that I was supposed to meet Sarah but she's nowhere in sight. It wasn't long before I realized that I was actually inside of the cottage. I try to stand up but realize I couldn't move because I'm chained to a wall. I don't know how long I've been here either. I hear voices coming from above me and I strain my ears to hear what they are saying but only make out the words, sacrifice, and witch. Now, I'm scared for my life. Have you have seen my friend Sarah? Please, help me find her. Please, if you find Sarah tell her to stay away from the woods.

Fortnite Tier List Updates The Fortnite Tier List was updated to reflect changes made to the game in Season 4 Vaulted
Epic & Legendary Variants of the Pistol
Jules Drum Gun, Glider Gun
Kit’s Charge Shotgun, Shockwave Launcher
Ocean’s Burst Assault Rifle, Chug Jug
Rapid Fire SMG
Flare Gun, Decoy Grenades, Stink Bombs
Tactical Submachine Gun
Along with the vaulting and unvaulting changes, we’ve shifted the tier list to reflect which weapons will perform the strongest in Fortnite: Chapter 2, Season 4. These are the changes to the placement of weapons on the tier list, and reasons behind them.
Pump Shotgun [Legendary & Epic Variants] - For its ability to 200 pump and output insane DPS this weapon lands a spot in the S tier
Combat Shotgun - The combat shotgun at this time isn’t the strongest option, but at the same time it’s not the worst option around. It deals consistent damage but lacks the ability to deal more than 100 damage per shot, landing it in the A tier
Tactical Sub machine Gun - This gun was brought back as a nerfed version of it’s former self, from previous seasons but it still packs a punch at a lower fire rate. Landing it in the A Tier
Suppressed Sub machine Gun - The Suppressed Sub machine Gun has come back in a strong way. Now that the sub machine gun itself has been vaulted, this gun packs a punch with it’s consistent damage and slower fire rate allowing you to hit more shots. Although, since it’s a slow firing weapon it could be performing better in the SMG category
League of Legends Tier List Updates
League of Legends Tier List has been updated to reflect all the changes in 10.18, and will remain up to date in the 10.19 patch upon release.
Rammus - In Low elo, specifically bronze and silver, Rammus has seen a massive spike in his performance. Win rates have gone up roughly 4%, due to his tanky nature and ability to cc so easily.
Miss Fortune - Due to her recent W buff, and attack speed increase we believe Miss Fortune now has the ability to output the damage she needs, and perform at a high level in solo queue.
Rumble - Rumble has received some great buffs, on his Flamespitter and danger zone has been positively impacted based on this.
Nasus - Previously in the S Tier, Nasus has been shifted down to the A Tier because the changes to the meta make it more difficult for him to scale.
Jarvan IV - After the buff to Dragon Strike, we feel his dueling potential has been adjusted accordingly and he will be able to take more fights in the jungle, and make more impact on ganks.
Xin Zhao - Receiving a buff to his W, Xin is finally no longer missing his ability to pack a punch when he dives on a target. He’s been moved up to the A Tier
Zac - We’ve moved Zac from the S Tier to the A Tier to reflect the fact that his win rates have tanked, due to the aggressive nature of this meta.
Galio - Due to his recent Q nerfs, we’ve moved Galio down from the S Tier as we now believe his laning phase will struggle in solo queue.
Twitch - With recent buffs to his E and Ultimate abilities, his multi target damage has gone up by a bunch, placing him in our A Tier.
